Terms of Service
⚠️ TEMPLATE ONLY — this is placeholder text, not legal advice. Have a business attorney in your operating state review and customize this before you accept a single payment. In particular, confirm whether your state requires an auto broker or dealer license to negotiate vehicle purchases/leases for a fee, and add any required license numbers/disclosures here.
1. Services
DealerBuffer ("we", "us") provides vehicle purchase and lease negotiation services on behalf of clients ("you"). We are not a dealership and do not sell, finance, or hold title to any vehicle. We act solely as your negotiating agent with third-party dealers and lessors.
2. Fees
Our engagement fee is a flat $500, all in. $100 is due to begin the engagement and is credited toward the total. The remaining $400 is invoiced upon your written acceptance of a negotiated deal, prior to signing at the dealer. Fees are described in full on the Pricing section of our site and may be updated from time to time.
3. No Financial Advice or Financing
We do not provide financing, credit, or investment advice, and we never request your Social Security number, bank credentials, or card numbers. Financing and credit applications are handled directly between you and the dealer or your chosen lender.
4. No Guarantee of Outcome
We make commercially reasonable efforts to negotiate favorable terms but cannot guarantee a specific price, approval, or vehicle availability.
5. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing and signing all final paperwork yourself. We recommend independently verifying all terms before signing at the dealership.
6. Limitation of Liability
[Add your standard liability limitation language, reviewed by counsel.]
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR STATE].
